So you thought you were coming to the sleepy fishing village, called Playa Chacala?

Well, that’s true, however we are a community that embraces each and every visitor to Playa Chacala.

You can travel here as a single person and know nobody and by the end of a few days you can leave with a dozen new friends. We put the SO in so social!

So what is the first event on your new Chacala social calendar?

Our main weekly highlight is Karla’s Happy Hour which is Karla’s social held every Friday in the Winter season from 6pm at Caballitos del Mar, a guest house near Casa Pacifica.

Just bring an appetizer to share and whatever you want to drink and come on up to the roof terrace…

Next it is tuesday night dinner at 6pm at Chabela’s house (Isabella’s Cafe)

Chabela is the breakfast cook at Casa Pacifica and has been feeding hungry vacationers for the past 10 years. She opens up her home to offer a different classic Mexican dish each week including her famous chili rellenos and chicken mole. To get involved just sign up on the list outside her house or put your name on the list at Casa Pacifica. Que Aproveche!

 

 

Another pastime in Playa Chacala is to have a sundowner with friends.

One of our favorite venues is the tapas bar Majahua at the southern end of Playa Chacala or for a more central location go to Las Brisas for their infamous margaritas
